The foundation trenches were inspected and the footings were successfully poured on July 29. Eighty-two cubic yards of concrete!

Work began early Monday as bobcat and trencher dug out the foundation and piled the sandy soil in the corner of the lot. Elliott conferred with 3 of his subs, Carl the electrician, Dale the concrete man and Ron the plumber, about the big picture. It's such a manly operation with several battered lounge chairs arranged on the sidelines along with a big blue porta-jon.
