Real Living

Home… it's comforting to have these amazing souls watching over us: Alice the Poodle, Yayoi Kusama (on the roof), Ruth Bader Ginsburg (holding gavel) and Baxter the Poodle (Fluffmonster).

6.5.12 - May Fini, June Commence

We sadly took Alice home after her daddies returned from Spain…we celebrated Nhan's 49th birthday…our precious blue Portolet was permanently removed from its 19 month position next to the driveway…the kitchen is mostly squared away and we've been enjoying the beautiful space but still can't find chef E's favorite paring knife…Elliott finished installing the gorgeous cherry cabinets for the master walk-in closet, waiting for the hanging rods…morning outdoor showers in the warm breezes and pelicans flying overhead are a real treat…as are morning walks on Lido beach and late afternoon swims in the Gulf - our raison d'être.

5.19.12 - Sarasota Checklist

✓ Pool Inspection
✓ Electrical Inspection
✓ Final House Inspection

We passed all of the inspections BUT we're still waiting for the official 'Certificate of Occupancy has been granted' phone call from the city of Sarasota as of 5pm Friday.

In the meantime, here are a few Sarasota snaps. Thanks to Sam for the bottles of Pomery - they'll be a poppin' soon!

Bye Bye 2011 & Welcome 2012

On New Years Eve we spent a beautiful day having breakfast at C'est La Vie, walking Lido beach, sipping champagne and playing with Alice. New Years Day we enjoyed Dan, Tom and Tim's traditional and festive pork and sauerkraut dinner with 20 good friends. Can't wait to move in early 2012. Bonne Année!
