11.24.12 - Bamboozeled

In our quest for a mature clump of black bamboo, Elliott and I drove out east this morning to the Sarasota Bamboo Farm. The remarkable R. F. Seabury welcomed us to his amazing collection of palms and bamboo specimens, some over 60 feet tall, on six and a half acres of quietude.

Two clumps of black bamboo will be delivered Tuesday.

We also bought a few rare Rhapis palm cultivars for the northside of the house.

I'm getting "goosed" by a 72 year old!
