3.26.14 - Paul Rudolph's Inspiring Deering Residence

We spent a melodious evening in the magnificent Deering Residence on Casey Key last Saturday overlooking the Gulf. The house, designed by Paul Rudolph in 1958, was the ideal setting for a fund raising choral concert with amazing acoustics and highly textured sound. But it was the awe-inspiring architectural wonder that took our breath away – certainly one of the finest examples of the Sarasota School of Architecture and mid-century modern design.
