Our life isn't just about mid-century architecture. We attended a fun Lemur Conservation Foundation Gala whose mission is to preserve the lemurs of Madagascar through captive breeding, scientific research and education. Working closely with Duke University, the Foundation's lemur reserve in Mayakka City (about 45 minutes East of Sarasota), allows 40 lemurs to free-range in the forests and live as naturally as possible. More info…
One party we did miss was the AIA Design Awards Exhibit Opening Reception tonight in Tampa. Our home, aka "Lightbox House" (architect Jonathan Parks, 2013), won an excellence in design award and is featured in the show.
Wishing everyone a happy Valentines Day tomorrow… bisous!
