We spent a wonderful week with Leilani Fiset, our lovely house guest from Montréal. This was her very first visit to sunny and hot, hot, hot Sarasota and her first trip in over 3 years thanks to covid.
Day One
• • • Sunday July 24, 2022 • • •
After picking Leilani up at the airport and driving home to Lido Shores, we sipped rosé Champagne and gave Leilani a tour of the house. Then we strolled along Lido Beach before meeting old friends Dan, Tom and Michael for dinner on St. Armands Circle. We were seated outdoors but in the midst of a thunderstorm we were given a drier table inside.

Day Two

After spending a relaxing morning, we visited our across-the-street neighbor artist Miriam Cassell. We were so enthralled with touring her home, hearing about her illustrious art career and and trying on her beautiful hand-made clothes, three hours quickly flew by.

Catching our breath, we enjoyed a late afternoon sandwich at New Pass Grill overlooking the Bay. Feeling energized, we walked over to Mote Aquarium
to see the sea turtles, manatees and otters. We made it home just in time before the afternoon thunderstorm. That evening we visited neighbors Sue and Bob Lifeso
for wine and snacks on Pansy Bayou. Returning home, we had a late-night swim in the pool and
sipped Elliott's special Bourbon cocktails.
